Hockey in the 'Ville

The Ville of Hockey History Project

We are compiling a comprehensive history of Hockey in Lakeville.  The completed book will be part of upcoming anniversaries and events for our program's  recognized alumni. This registration session will allow you to provide contact information, and submit intentions. Please read through each page carefully to ensure that all information is provided accurately.

How you can Help make the "Hockey Book" for Lakeville

We want to interview anybody who is interested in contributing to this first of a kind, historical collection of Lakeville hockey.  From hockey moms, coaches, Mites and PeeWee's to varsity players past and present, we want to hear and document the best of Lakeville hockey to share with the State of Hockey and beyond.

Examples of things we are looking for:

  • Your perspective of a State Tournament game or classic Sectional match-up in Lakeville hockey history
  • LHA Photos of varsity players and pictures of "When they were Mites"
  • Newspaper articles, team photos, yearbooks, programs from the 70's, 80's, 90's
  • Stories from the "good ol days" when Lakeville Hockey was just starting out.
  • Pictures of awards, trophies, old school team jerseys...

The form on this page allows you to upload three images.  Feel free and send us anything that can help visualize Lakeville's hockey past . Tell us what you know and what you can share, and we just may contact you for an interview.

The Wall of Fame Project

LHA is also making a priority to create a "Wall of Fame" display for Ames Arena. It our desire to recognize the players from our past who have contributed to our city's hockey history.  To find out more about this project and nominate someone who fits the criteria for inclusion, visit the "Wall of Fame" project page.
